Become part of this standard

The Child Safe Friendly Tourism Project exists so that tourism businesses and the people who work in them are equipped to protect children, and so that trafficking and sexual exploitation find no foothold anywhere in Thailand's tourism economy.

Who this is for

  • Hotels, resorts and accommodation of every size
  • Tour operators and travel service providers
  • Other businesses in the tourism supply chain

How joining works

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Tell us you are interested, through the contact form or by phone, with a short description of your business.

  2. 02

    Talk it through

The programme team will come back to you to discuss the approach, assess readiness and explain what participation involves.

  3. 03

    Write your child protection policy

You receive hands-on help drafting a child protection policy and the practical guidance that goes with it.

  4. 04

    Train your team

Your nominated representative is trained to manage the programme internally, then your staff complete the online training module.

  5. 05

    Assessment and recognition

The programme monitors and assesses how the standard is being applied. Businesses that meet it earn the right to display the mark.
